Close to WasdaleThe Old School is situated up a quiet country lane near to Irton Church and ancient monument. Within a 20 minute walk to the nearest hotel/pub and Santon Bridge Gift Shop and Tearooms. There are lots of lovely walks from the house and a 20 minute drive to Wastwater and Wasdale Head for the high level walks and Scafell Pike. The nearest beach is in the ancient port of Ravenglass only 6 miles away.Adults onlyThe Old School and Betty's is adults only and located in the quieter Western Lake District close to Wasdale. A friendly warm welcome awaits, along with a hearty AGA cooked Lakeland breakfast of fresh local produce, served around the farmhouse table in our Garden Room.En-suite roomsThe Old School has two en-suite bedrooms, one a double four poster and the other a superior king sized room. Both rooms offer 300g deluxe Egyptian cotton bedlinen, fluffy bathrobes and towels, well equipped hospitality tray offering freshly ground coffee and home made biscuits. Both rooms are decorated to a high standard and are warm and comfortable. Betty's is a self contained one bedroomed annexe with a lounge, well equipped kitchen, double bedroom and shower room. A small dog is welcome.
